Dr. Andreas Ziltener
Dr. Andreas Ziltener started his academic career at the University of St.Gallen managing the Executive MBL-HSG program. As co-founder of several internet companies, he was able to experience the practical side of entrepreneurship & Innovation.
Since 2007, he is a professor of entrepreneurial management at the University of Applied Sciences of the Grisons and active as Start-up expert. Furthermore, he is senior researcher at the Swiss Institute for Entrepreneurship SIFE, where he conducts research on innovation.
His friends describe him as a thought leader, sometimes as a weirdo and others think that he can theoretically identify problems and develop approaches to theoretical and practical solutions. He has four children, he is still an enthusiastic sailor and golfer. He lives at Lake Constance.
Jazz fits as reference model for ambidexterity in innovation management. Both, Jazz and innovation management deal with the systematic planning and coordination of complex, work-sharing processes that should protect the creative freedom of many actors involved and produce innovative outcomes.
Since his adolescence, he has played double bass in various jazz combos. Current formations are JIST-JazzImStall and Jazzonomicals.
